Amidst an atmosphere charged with anticipation and resolve, a new chapter in Lagos State’s political landscape was inaugurated.
The occasion, a rallying call to action, marked the Labour Party’s dedication to building upon its resounding success in the 2023 General Elections. The event saw the appointment of committed officers who will oversee the party’s operations in each Local Government Area (LGA), comprising passionate patriots determined to transform the party into a force that truly serves the people’s interests and rescues them from the grip of an oppressive, anti-people government.
The Labour Party Lagos outlined a comprehensive array of projects aimed at the emancipation of the people. A resolute focus on critical sectors—education, healthcare, social welfare, job creation, environment, youth empowerment, and the economy—underscored the party’s commitment to tackling Lagos State’s challenges head-on. The ambitious goal of enlisting one million new members into the party’s ranks stood as a testament to the drive to engage and mobilize the masses, channeling their collective power towards a brighter future.

A sea of influential figures from the Nigerian political landscape attended the event, affirming its importance and the Labour Party’s credibility. Pastor Mrs. Dayo Ekong, the State Chairman, held the mantle of chief host, exuding leadership and determination. Comr Sam Okpala, the State Secretary, lent his expertise to the party’s cause. Barrister Julius Abure, the National Chairman, brought his experience to the forefront, and Dr. Ayo Olorunfemi, the Deputy National Chairman, bolstered the party’s national presence.
